Macedonians. Alleged Massacres by Turks.

Six hundred Macedonian women and children have crossed the Bulgarian frontier. They report that the Turkish troops have destroyed several Christan villages, massacring the inhabitants, and desecrating and burning the church at Serbihov. The Macedonian Committee has convened, at Sofia, on Sunday, a дпаѕѕ meeting of all provincial Mace-donian societies, and appealed 4o European statesmen to protect Christians. It has also summoned all Macedonian refugees to defend the national cause.

Macedonian who Held Miss Stone for ransom reported dead

London, April 24 - The Sofia, Bulgaria, correspondent of Reuter's Telegram Company, says that Yane Sandusky (Sandanski), the Macedonian brigand leader, who gained noteriety in 1901 through the kidnapping of Miss Ellen M. Stone an American missionary, has been slain by unknown persons. Sandusky (Sandanski) was killed in the district between the mountain of Perun and the town of Nevrokop.

This is a snippet from page 141 of the book "Fields of wheat, hills of blood: Passages to Nationhood in Greek Macedonia, 1870-1990" by Anastasia Karakasidou, published in 1997.
It clearly explains how Macedonia became "greek".

Ова е извадок од страна 141 од книгата "Полиња жито, ридишта крв: Патишта кон националноста во Грчка Македонија, 1870-1990" од Анастасија Каракасиду, издадена во 1997 год. Во него јасно се кажува како Македонија стана "грчка".

Emigrating to America — Atrocities Still Going On in Turkey.

BELGRADE, March 28.—Six hundred Macedonian emigrants left here to-day for the United States by way of Fiume.

All of them possessed sufficient funds to permit of their entering the United States.

Although the Turkish Government reports the condition of the Macedonian valiyyets to be "tranquil" it appears that, after all the efforts of the powers and the elaborate measures taken by the foreign gendarmerie officers, the condition of the Christian population is very little better than it was two years ago..."

Backbone of the Revolution Broken According to Advices Received in Sofia.

SOFIA, Oct. 2.—According to advices received here this afternoon the backbone of the revolution in Macedonia is broken.

The Turkish troops are said to be graining the upper hand everywhere, several insurgent chiefs have been killed or wounded, others are abandoning the struggle and fleeing to the frontier, the revolutionary bands are sustaining heavy losses and are seeking refuge in large numbers, and the Turks occupy every important point along the routes of retreat to the frontier.
