"There seems to be no other explanation of the tone of their artices. They are not only unsympathetic toward the movement, but decidedly imical to it.
It is impossible that such an attitude could arise from ignorance of the true state of affairs in a country so intelligent as America, an it is also difficult to belive that the impression created by Stone affair could have so prejudiced the American press."
