The Balkan troubles

LONDON, November 30,—The Powers have warned the Government of the Balkan States that they will not tolerate any attempts to subvert the status quo in the Balkan peninsula.

The note also expresses a hope that the Balkan States will second the efforts of the Powers in securing reforms for the Macedonians, by preventing anything: calculated to encourage a revolutionary movement in the Turkish provinces.

This decision of the Powere against the Balkan States taking advantage of the combined action of the Powers to operate against Turkey, has caused much disappointment in Bulgaria.
